Administrative Assistant

Schedule: Full Time Position

Description:

DCI Signs is looking for an administrative assistant that has previously worked with a sign company or construction trade company like electrician, plumber or general contractor. 

Responsibilities:

  • Answer, screen and forward any incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed
  • Perform administrative support to the President of the company, Project Managers, Office Manager and general staff.
  • Establishing and maintaining filing systems.
  • Coordinate any necessary travel.
  • Scheduling meetings and appointments
  • Administrative Support tasks will include; answering telephones, sorting mail, greeting visitors, as well as, a combination of clerical tasks to support administrative operations, such as: maintaining records; preparing documents, responding to routine requests, and other duties as assigned.

Knowledge / Experience / Skills:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • One (1) year experience in an administrative role within similar type of business. (clerical/secretary/receptionist)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Familiarity with construction terms/contracts.
  • Some basic knowledge or certified payroll reports, pre-veiling wage reporting, public works compliance.
  • Good Problem Solver, Creative Thinker.
  • Build positive working relationships with employees at all levels within the organization.
  • Exercise sound judgment when making decisions.
  • Effectively work with minimal supervision.
  • Top notch organizational, multi-tasking and communications skills, both oral and written

Inside Sales Representative

Description:

Inside sales position to develop new business sales by providing consultation, design, fabrication, and installation services for a full line of exterior sign, awning & canopy products. Works as an integral part of the sales team to develop new business and expand relationships with existing clients of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet and exceed sales goals & objectives of the team. Annual goal = $300,000 in closed sales. Handles quoting jobs for products and services.
  • Handles existing client's incoming sales requests for the assigned portfolio or at the request of an Account Manager.
  • Handles new sales requests from various channels including internet, referrals and phone leads. Develops and implements strategies to maintain and/or expand sales within the assigned portfolio.
  • Interfaces with the customer to understand the customer's overall objectives and requirements. Create, develop and present professional sales presentations.
  • Works in a dual capacity to include the duties of a Project Service Coordinator to ensure client requests and needs are handled in a timely manner.
  • Provides reports on the sales activity for a given period of time. Maintains a high level of customer service
  • Expedites the resolution of customer problems/complaints.
  • Ensures that production and sign departments provide post implementation support to assigned accounts / customers.
  • Maintain effective and productive lines of communications with all internal departments. Ensure that collection of payment on invoices is completed.

Knowledge / Experience / Skills:

  • One to two years Inside Sales experience
  • Advanced Skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • A valid state driver's license. (or "spur of the moment" transportation)
  • Ability to pass background check: Credit, criminal, drug and/or DMV
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Experienced Installers - Technicians

Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibilities include installing, removing or repairing all types of exterior signs, awnings & canopy systems.
  • DCI provides the work vehicles and power tools.
  • Each technician need to have their own collection of professional hand tools.
  • Ideal teammate will focus on safety, quality, and productivity, while representing the company in a very professional and customer-focused manner.
  • Knowledge of installation techniques and some construction and code is a must.

Knowledge / Experience / Skills:

  • This is a Construction and Installation trade position in the Electric Sign/ Awning/ Canopy fields
  • Preferred 5+ years of exterior sign installation experience
  • Required High School diploma or GED
  • Teammate must have a desire to contribute to the overall success of the company and to improving all key performance metrics
  • Must be RELIABLE, PROFESSIONAL, COMPETENT, ORGANIZED individual
  • Candidates should possess strong background in SIGN INSTALLATION, ELECTRICAL & GENERAL CONSTRUCTION type work
  • Must be able to read & write English, understand & follows plans, weld and operate an oxy/acetylene torch, operate a boom or small crane
  • Have a clean driver's license
  • Good communication skills
  • Have successfully worked at heights
  • Work outdoors in cold & hot
  • Flexible schedule for day or night installation
  • Class B driver license with air brakes a plus
  • Selected candidate must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • We are looking for experienced installers who can work as team leads

Sales Executive

Description:

Outside sales position to develop new business sales by providing consultation, design, fabrication, and installation services for a full line of exterior sign, awning & canopy products to various market segments that include local, regional, and national accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet and exceed sales goals & objectives of the team. Annual individual sales goal ranges from $800,000 - $2,000,000+.
  • To prospect for new business on a daily basis by executing upon a prospecting plan which includes at least 1 networking event, 600 dials and 200 conversations per month and at least 1 capability presentation per quarter.
  • Develops and implements strategies to expand sales within the assigned territory or market segment.
  • Create, develop and present professional sales presentations.
  • Interfaces with the customer to understand the customer's overall objectives and requirements.
  • Contacts existing customers on a regular basis to maintain account relationship, advise of new products, cross sell additional products, and obtain feedback on products.
  • Leads internal team by communicating client needs to the internal team with 99% accuracy in order to sell business and ensure a clean handoff of sold projects to the project services team for execution.
  • Utilizes internal systems for tracking sales activities.
  • Contributes to the quarterly and annual business forecasting by maintain pipeline of deals and sharing future client needs.
  • Maintains high level of customer service

Experienced Fabricator

Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibilities include fabricating all types of exterior signs, awnings & canopy systems.
  • DCI provides the power tools and equipment required to successfully complete the job.
  • Each fabricator needs to have its own collection of professional hand tools.
  • Ideal teammate will focus on safety, quality, and productivity, while representing the company in a very professional and customer-focused manner.
  • Knowledge of sign fabrication and metal working techniques and some construction and code is a must.

Knowledge / Experience / Skills:

  • Preferred 5+ years of exterior sign fabrication experience.
  • Required High School diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to read & write English, understand & follows plans & have good communication skills.
  • Experience with MIG, TIG, and stick welding, operate an oxy/acetylene torch, as well as other metal forming and fabrication tools & equipment.
  • Teammate must have a desire to contribute to the overall success of the company and to improving all key performance metrics.
  • Selected candidate must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
